We rank verified contractors on the trade, whether they serve your area, their availability, and their standing on the platform — then dispatch. What happens next depends on the size of the job.
Under $5,000
One contractor, matched to you
We pick the right Verified Pro and dispatch the job to them exclusively. No bidding, no competing quotes, no crowd of callbacks. Emergency jobs are the one nuance — two contractors are contacted at once so you get an answer fast, but the first to accept takes the job and the rest are released. You still deal with one.
$5,000 and above
Two quotes, so you have a reference point
On a spend that size you deserve something to compare against before you commit. We invite two verified contractors to quote, and you choose. That is still not a bidding war: we select both, we verify both, and your number never goes out to anyone else. At $15,000 and above both are expected to visit the site before quoting, and get 72 hours rather than 48.
