What does it actually cost to join?

Nothing. The Free tier has no monthly fee and no card. You pay 8% only when you complete a job and invoice it — capped at $400. Declined and unmatched leads cost you nothing, ever.

Why is there a paid tier at all?

The Free tier gets you leads, a verified badge and a public profile. Pro and Elite add the business tooling — invoicing, deposits, change orders, the client book, expense tracking — and cut the platform fee to 5% or 3%. If you invoice enough through us, the lower fee covers the subscription on its own.

Do I compete against other contractors for a lead?

No. One contractor is matched per job and it is yours exclusively. Emergency jobs are the one exception: two pros are dispatched simultaneously because someone’s basement is filling with water and speed matters more.

How do you verify me?

We check your licence number directly with the issuing authority — ESA for electricians, TSSA for gas and HVAC, OCOT for other trades — plus your WSIB clearance and insurance certificate. It is not self-reported.

Who owns my clients?

You do. The client book is yours, and homeowners can save you to their trades list and rebook you directly. We are not trying to sit between you and a customer you already earned.

What happens if a job goes wrong?

Our 30-day resolution process brings both sides in. Contractors who make it right stay. Contractors who do not, do not.
